Free hours are the included playtime that comes with a membership. You set them up as one or more free hours groups, which gives you control over which bays the hours apply to, how much can be used per day, week or month, and what times of day they're available.
Where to find it
Go to Products, then Memberships, and open or create a membership. Under the included benefits, use Add free hours group.
What a free hours group covers
- Group name: a label for your own reference, like "Standard bays" or "VIP bays".
- Simulators: choose which bays the group applies to. Each bay can belong to only one group, so different bays can carry different allowances.
- Free hours per period: how many hours are included. For recurring memberships these reset at the start of each billing period, based on the member's start date. For yearly memberships they reset on the annual renewal date. For seasonal memberships it's the total for the whole period.
Optional limits
You can cap how the allowance gets used, on top of the total:
- Maximum hours per day
- Maximum hours per week (for memberships that run a week or longer)
- Maximum hours per month (for yearly or seasonal memberships)
For example, 40 free hours a month with a maximum of 2 hours per day.
Restricting to certain times
Under Time, choose when the free hours can be used. By default they follow your opening hours every day. You can switch off whole days or add specific windows, for example free hours only on weekday mornings. Bookings outside those windows use the normal member rate.
Using more than one group
Since each bay sits in a single group, you can build different allowances into one membership: generous hours on standard bays, and a smaller, peak-restricted allowance on premium bays.
Members see their remaining hours in the booking drawer on your booking page. From the admin panel, open the customer's card and use Show usage to see what's left in the current period. For how cancellations return hours, see Free hours and cancellations.
