Your customers can browse your booking page, book bays, manage their account, and receive emails and SMS in several languages. You do not need to turn anything on in admin. Alba handles language per customer.
Languages customers can use
- English
- Norwegian
- French
- Swedish
- Danish
- Icelandic
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- Polish
How customers change language
On your public booking page, open the menu and tap Language. In the Choose Language window, they pick the language they want. The page reloads in that language.
If the customer is signed in, Alba saves the choice on their account so it sticks on their next visit.
On a first visit, Alba may pick a language from the browser settings. Customers can always switch manually.
What follows the customer's language
- Booking page and checkout
- Confirmation and reminder emails
- Reminder SMS (including access links)
- Receipts and most in-app messages
See How bookings work for customers for the full booking flow.
SimLock on the simulator
SimLock runs on the simulator PC, not in the customer's browser. Lock-screen QR captions and extend-session reminders on SimLock use your venue location language (the country or locale Alba has on your venue), not the language the player picked on the booking page.
The languages listed above are supported on SimLock, including the session countdown and the QR card when a booking is ending.
If you need a specific locale for your venue (for example English or French in Canada), contact Alba support so your venue location is set correctly.
See How customers extend a session from SimLock for how extension works.
Your admin back-office
The venue admin panel is available in Norwegian and English. Customer language settings do not change what you see in admin.
