Discount codes let you offer customers a reduced price when they enter a code at checkout. You create and manage them under Products, then Discount codes in the admin panel.
How it works
A customer enters the code at checkout, and the discount applies to their booking total based on the rules you’ve set. Codes are not case-sensitive. You can see how many times each code has been used, and by which customers.
Each code belongs to one location. If you run several locations, a code only works at the location where you created it.
Discount codes and memberships
When a customer enters a discount code, the code’s discount replaces their membership pricing for that booking. Member prices are not applied and free hours are not used up, even if the customer is an active member. Extra players are charged at your normal venue prices, not the membership’s guest prices.
Where codes work
Codes apply at checkout for bay bookings. They do not apply to event or league sign-up fees.
Setting the discount
You can set different discount percentages for different days and times. That lets you offer a bigger discount during off-peak hours and a smaller one at peak times.
Limits you can set
To keep a code under control, you can cap the total number of bookings, bookings per customer, hours per booking, and total hours across all bookings.
New customers only
Turn on New customers only in the discount code rules when you want a promo for people who have not bought from your venue before. It is off by default. When it is on, only customers without a voucher, active membership, or previous confirmed booking at this venue can use the code.
Codes you already had stay available to everyone unless you edit them and turn this on. Your other usage limits still apply.
If someone who does not qualify tries the code at checkout, they see a message that the code is only available to new customers.
Validity period
Each code has a validity period. It only works for bookings within that window, and stops working once it expires.
