The instructor tool is fully integrated with the venue’s booking system. This gives several advantages:
- Bay availability is synchronized between the venue and the instructor.
- Double bookings cannot happen.
- Customers can book an instructor and a bay at the same time.
- Customers receive predictable and accurate availability.
- You eliminate back-and-forth communication through email or SMS, increasing conversion.
Customers access the instructor calendars from the customer booking pages. Any available time shown must have both a bay and the instructor available (unless specified otherwise).
Instructors can sell:
- Lessons
- Packages (similar to value cards)
- Events connected to them
Lessons
Lessons are custom products attached to specific timeslots in the instructor’s calendar. Each lesson can include:
- Name
- Price
- Duration (calendar block)
- Description
- Connected bays
- Optional custom fitting setup
Customers see these lesson options when clicking an available slot. When booking, they may also add a note and their handicap.
Packages
Packages work the same way as venue value cards:
- Instructors set a value (usually tied to hours).
- They set a price (discounted or not).
- Example: If one lesson is 100 dollars, a 5-hour package should have a value of 500 dollars. The instructor can choose any price they want.
Packages bought through the instructor profile:
- Are tied to that specific instructor only
- Cannot be used for anything else
- Can be assigned or edited by admins
Events
Instructor events work exactly like venue events but are connected to a specific instructor and appear as “instructor events” in the customer booking experience.
