SimLock is not turning on, what can I do

There are several reasons why SimLock may not appear on the screen. Work through the following checks:


SimLock is disabled

First ensure that SimLock is enabled for the simulator. Go to Products, then Resources in the admin panel. Click the simulator that is not showing SimLock and verify that the SimLock toggle is not disabled.


There is an existing blocking or booking

SimLock will not activate if there is a booking or blocking during the time period you are viewing. Go to Bookings in the admin panel and confirm that the current time is not reserved or blocked.


SimLock activation settings

You can define how long before and after a booking SimLock remains unlocked. It is possible that a previous booking is still keeping SimLock off. Go to Settings, then SimLock in the admin panel, and check that your configuration matches your expectations.


SimLock has been disabled by a custom hotkey

SimLock can be disabled using a hidden emergency command: SHIFT + ALT + F4.

If this key command has been pressed, SimLock will not turn on again until the computer is restarted. Restart the machine to reactivate SimLock.


Computer needs more time to start

On some computers, especially older systems, SimLock may take additional time to launch after a reboot. In some cases this can take up to 15 minutes while system processes start up.
