How to manually add a new member

There are two ways to add members: one-by-one or by importing a list of members.


For adding single members or fewer than ten members, use the Add member feature. Go to the Customers page in the admin panel. There you will find the Add member button. This opens a modal where you can select the customer and assign the membership.


The customer must first create an account in Alba before you can assign them a membership. Once the account exists, you can find the customer by searching their exact email address.


Only one-time purchase memberships can be assigned by admins. Recurring memberships must be purchased by the customer, because they are linked directly to subscription and payment logic.


The second method is bulk import. Go to Customers, then Import customers in the admin panel. Here you will find a step by step guide for importing customers. Note that bulk import can only assign one-time purchase memberships. Recurring memberships must be purchased by the customer themselves.
