How pricing works in Alba

Alba provides a flexible pricing system that allows you to define prices at different levels, including individual bays, specific days of the week, and different times of the day.

By default, Alba uses a simple pricing model based on two categories: off peak and peak hours. You can configure this under Settings, then Prices in the admin panel. It is up to you to define when peak and off peak apply. For example, you may choose to set off peak during weekday mornings and peak during weekends or evenings.

Once you have defined your peak and off peak hours, you can set different prices for each day of the week in both categories. This basic setup is easy to manage and works well for most venues. The same price structure is used throughout the app, including when setting prices for specific bays or creating special prices for memberships. Keeping the venue in this mode provides a simple and consistent pricing approach.

If you need more granular control, for example if you want a morning price, a midday price, and an evening price, you can enable Advanced pricing mode. You will find the toggle for Advanced pricing on the pricing page under Settings.

Once Advanced pricing is enabled, the system switches from the simple peak and off peak model to a fully customizable time and price table. This allows you to define prices for every hour of every day throughout the week. With this approach, you can create highly specific price patterns based on demand.

Important: Turning on Advanced pricing mode affects pricing in all parts of Alba. When Advanced pricing is enabled, it also changes how pricing is configured for individual bays and memberships. Pricing stops using the peak and off peak model and uses the full custom schedule everywhere.
