What is a blocking

Last updated: January 26, 2026

A blocking is a way to prevent new bookings on selected bays for a specific period. It is useful when you want to stop bookings during maintenance, service, private use, events, or any other reason without changing your venue’s general opening hours. A blocking can also be used to quickly disable SimLock.

A blocking contains the following settings:

  • Date: The day the blocking applies to.
  • Start time and end time: The exact time period during the day when the blocking is active.
  • Recurring: When enabled, the blocking repeats on a chosen interval. This is useful for recurring weekly maintenance or repeating private use.
  • Title: The name of the blocking. For example “Maintenance”, “Private event”, or “Staff training”.
  • Should title be visible to customers: When enabled, the title is shown in the customer facing booking grid. This allows you to communicate clearly why customers cannot book during that time, for example “Bay closed for service”.
  • Resources: The bays you want to block for the selected period.

Note: A blocking will disable SimLock and in effect open the bays for play.
