You can configure your venue’s bays in the admin panel under Products, then Resources. Here you can add new bays or edit existing ones.
Each bay can be configured by the following settings:
- Name: This is the customer facing name of the bay. We recommend naming bays using a simple pattern such as Bay 1, Bay 2, Bay 3, and so on.
- Technology: A short description of the simulator technology customers will play on. This helps customers understand what they are booking.
- Disable SimLock: This disables the SimLock screen for this bay while the toggle is active. SimLock is Alba’s automated access control system that locks simulators until the booking starts. Disabling it removes this lock for the selected bay. You can read more about SimLock here.
- Hide this resource: This hides the bay from the customer facing booking page. The bay remains fully functional in the admin panel and can be booked by staff, for example as an instructor only bay.
- Disable bookings: Disabling bookings keeps the bay visible to customers, but prevents new bookings from being made. After enabling this option, you can add a custom reason, for example “down for maintenance”. Disabling a bay will not remove any existing bookings connected to that bay.
- Override price: Lets you set specific prices for this bay instead of using global pricing. When enabled, a price matrix appears based on your venue’s setup. Read more about pricing here.
