Customers book through your public booking page. The booking calendar is automatically generated based on your opening hours and prices, so customers only see available times at the correct prices.
Booking flow:
- The customer selects a time in the calendar.
- They proceed to checkout, where they see a summary of their booking.
- If they are not signed in, they are asked to sign in or create an account before continuing.
- After sign-in, they can pay by card or voucher.
Membership benefits are shown throughout the booking process, from the calendar view to checkout. Discount codes and gift cards can be applied at checkout.
After payment, the customer is redirected to a receipt page. If your venue uses automated access control, the customer is asked to verify their identity by entering a code sent to their phone number. This ensures that only the person making the booking receives the access instructions, preventing unauthorized entry. After verification, the customer receives instructions on how to access the venue and unlock the door(s). They can also download a receipt for tax purposes.
At the same time the booking is completed, the customer receives a booking confirmation email with all booking details and access instructions. As a venue owner, you can add your own text to this email.
One hour before the booking starts, Alba sends the customer a booking reminder SMS. The SMS includes a direct unlock link for the venue door(s). You can define how long before and after the booking the unlock link is active. You can also enable link sharing, which lets the customer share the access link with other players for easier entry.
