Venue setup: activate your account and get started

If you created a demo venue in Alba, you can explore the admin while payments are still in test mode. The Venue setup panel keeps activation, setup ideas, and (when relevant) switch-over tasks in one place.

Open Venue setup

Look for the green Venue setup button at the bottom left while you are in the admin for your venue. It stays available as you move between admin pages for that venue.

The first time someone with permission to edit the venue opens the admin, a short tour walks through the button, the Activate tab, and the Get started tab. Finish the tour with Got it. Until then, the tour cannot be skipped. If you reload before finishing, it starts again.

Activate tab

Use this tab when you are ready to accept real customer payments. You do not need to finish the Get started checklist first.

  1. Create venue is already done when you sign up.
  2. Confirm business details: legal entity name, organization or tax ID, business address, payout schedule, and contact email and phone.
  3. Accept merchant terms: the account owner reviews and signs the merchant agreement.
  4. Payment provider KYC: complete the identity check from your payment provider (for example Adyen or Dintero). Use Check the status of your application to return to the form or see updates.
  5. When approval is in place, Alba confirms your venue can take payments. You can close the panel for good, or optionally book a short session with your own card to see a real charge.

Staff who are not the account owner may see that the owner must accept merchant terms.

Get started tab

This tab is a guided list of things worth a look before you open. It is not a requirement for activation. Open steps in any order, use Go to … to jump to the right admin page, and tap I've looked at this on the current step when you want to move the checklist forward.

At the top you can set or change your planned go-live date. A rough date is fine. It is shared with the Alba team so everyone works toward the same target.

Your venue profile is treated as complete from signup. The checklist usually starts at opening hours. Later steps include pricing, products, events, instructors, staff, doors, SimLock, branding, the help center, and (when unlocked) a 45-minute onboarding call with Alba.

Book your onboarding call unlocks after every earlier step is marked done and the merchant agreement is signed. Payment provider KYC can still be in progress.

Each step can link to a guide in the help center, for example SimLock or memberships.

Switch over tab

This tab appears only if you told Alba at signup that bookings are moving over from another system. It covers recreating memberships, importing one-time memberships and value cards, picking a switch date (opening hours or calendar), and telling customers. Logos, email text, and social posts live under Settings → Media kit while venue setup is still open.

Media kit

Under Settings → Media kit you will find your booking link, Alba logos, draft customer emails, and social images with captions. Use them when you announce that booking is open or that you are moving to Alba.

After you go live

When payments are approved, you can dismiss Venue setup permanently with Close panel. You can still change venue settings from Settings as usual. If the panel was already dismissed or your venue was live before this flow rolled out, you will not see it again.

If something fails to load in the panel, contact Alba support.
