How to give someone a gift card

Gift cards are a useful way to attract new customers who may not yet have an Alba account.

Under Products, then Gift Card in the admin panel, open Active gift cards. That page lists gift cards you have issued.

To assign a gift card:

1. Click Assign gift card to customer.
2. Enter the amount and the customer's email address.
3. Leave Has expiration date on and choose an expiry date, or turn it off if the gift card should never expire.
4. Save. Alba generates a PDF gift card and sends it to that email.

In admin lists and customer details, gift cards that never expire show Never instead of a date. For the default expiry on gift cards customers buy themselves, see How to set when gift cards expire.
