How value cards work in Alba

Value cards let customers pre-pay credit they can spend at your venue. They buy a card for a set amount, then draw down the balance when they book simulator time or sign up for an event. When it runs out, they can buy another.

Discounts

You can sell a value card for less than its balance to reward larger purchases. For example, a card worth 1000 kr sold for 900 kr gives the customer 10% extra value.

Expiry dates

You can set a card to expire after a date or period. This nudges customers to use their credit and helps you plan cash flow.

Where they can be used

Value cards work for your venue's location. Customers can apply them at checkout for simulator bookings and for paid event sign-ups.

When you limit a value card to certain bays or instructors, that limit applies to simulator bookings and lessons. It does not apply to event fees. A customer can use a bay-restricted card to pay for any event at that location, including instructor events.

Instructor value cards and instructor gift cards are tied to that instructor. They can pay for that instructor's lessons and instructor events. They cannot pay for a general venue event or another instructor's event.
